Hello! We are FC Nono, a social football team in Bihar, India, dedicated to empowering underprivileged children through football activities.
We are happy to announce that FC Nono has completed the official registration as a Section 8 Company (*1) “NOZOMU FOUNDATION” for India!
*1 “Section 8 Company” is a non-profit organization certified by the Government of India under Section 8 of the Indian Companies Act, as a company established for charitable purposes to promote a specific field.
Until now, FC Nono, based in Japan, was unable to receive monetary donations or grants directly from you in India, where our activities take place. With the official registration of FC Nono in India as NOZOMU FOUNDATION, we are now able to receive donations directly from the Indian side.
Currently, we are also preparing for a business alliance with a local NGO so that we can receive CSR contributions from the private sector (*2).
*2 In order for an NGO to receive corporate CSR contributions in India, there must be an activity record of more than three years since its establishment. This requirement is part of the several legal requirements that NGOs must meet in order to receive CSR funds. Specifically, in addition to being registered as a legal entity in India and having three-year activity records since its establishment, the NGO is required to register under Sections 12A and 80G of the Income Tax Act. Only NGOs that have completed these registrations are eligible to receive CSR funds from corporations in India.
From now on, we can organize and develop our activities more than ever before, as a legal entity in both Japan and India. Though we still have many hurdles, we would like to thank you again for supporting us to come so far, and certainly look forward to having you with us in our future endeavors!
